Description
- Foris Pinot Noir ($17): Subtle aromas suggest darker colored fruit with tones of chocolate. Medium bodied, with subtle tannins and easy acidity. Raspberries and wild blackberries on the palate. Spice and pleasant acidity intermingle with the fruit on the long, focused finish.
- Terra Robles Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 ($12): Plush, ripe stone fruit, brambleberry and cocoa nib aromas echo the flavor profile of plum, berry, dark chocolate and spice all supported by balanced, rich velvety tannins.Enjoy with steak, venison, hard cow or sheep cheese, chocolate and fresh berries.
- Rombauer Vineyards' Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($37): This wine is a rich, luscious wine with fruit complex. Hints of mint, eucalyptus, and cedar are present in the nose while moderate tannins balance layers of dark berries and black cherries on the palate. This is a fruit driven Cabernet Sauvignon that has the tannin structure to last many years, but drinks well now.
- A to Z Night & Day Southern Crossing Red ($15): Really dark opaque red. The nose is cherries, plums, dark chocolate, cigars and vanilla. Complicated and good tasting, Ripe red fruit, then cocoa powder, followed by black and blueberries, oak spice and creamy vanilla hits at the mid-palate. A long, long finish of blueberry and vanilla.
- A to Z 2009 Oregon Pinot Noir ($19): Super sexy and spicy on the nose with aromas of apricots, blueberries, Bing cherries, blood oranges, gingerbread, white pepper, sweet Eastern spices, violets, tea and sweet pipe tobacco. In the mouth, the wine has refreshing acidity with silky tannins and rich flavors mirroring the aromatics. The 2009 A to Z Oregon Pinot Noir restrains power while balancing richness and purity with a clean and refreshing finish. Classically proportioned and built for midterm aging, the wine will continue to build weight and structure with cellaring.
