- Talisman Wildcat Mountain Vineyard Los Carneros Pinot Noir 2007 ($45): Our 2007 Wildcat Mountain Pinot noir is an unusually complex wine. Aromas of exotic Asian spices, black tea, mineral, sandalwood, cherry, and cola jump from the glass. The texture of the wine is silky smooth, round, and viscous and the flavors are predominantly cherry vanilla, candied black cherry, cola, earth and a little bit of mineral.
The finish is energetic, lengthy and supported by ultra-fine-grained tannins. - Kindred Wines Pinot Noir, Amber Ridge Vineyard 2007 ($46): Aromas of wild berry cobbler and baking spice emerge from the glass. The wine possesses vibrant acidity with rich plum and cherry flavors that lead to a velvety finish.
- Pennywise Pinot Noir 2008 ($12): The inaugural Pennywise Pinot Noir blend is ruby colored with aromas of fresh cherries with a hint of Monterey terrior and silky caramelized oak. The mouth of this wine explodes with cherry fruit, nuances of chocolate truffles with hints of lavender, summer sweet plums and wild strawberry. This wine finishes with a note of espresso, subtle Spanish bay leaf, and crushed blueberries wrapped around integrated French oak.
