Description
The Blue Jays are so excited to know that they can make a difference in another child’s life, and help to better our school. Making these projects was a way in which they could give back to the school and to future VPC students. These projects, the Friendship Platters and the Kindness Quilts, derived from our Martin Luther King lesson, preceded by our “Kindness and Love” lessons.
One of the lessons was that it is more fulfilling to give than to receive. For this quilt, the children were asked what kindness means to them. They drew their interpretation to this question on individual fabric squares, which were later put together to form this magnificent quilt. The results are as endearing as they are beautiful.
We are extremely proud of all their hard work and the final products!
Love, Ms Brunie and Blue Jays Teaching Teams: Ms Erin, Ms Noemi, Ms Talita, and Ms Monique
This quilt can hang on the wall or serve as a bed throw, and will surely be a memory for a lifetime. Twin size 86" x 54".
Special thanks to Saysamone, VPC's dramatic play costume designer, who contributed her talent to put this quilt together in such a gorgeous way.
