Description

The Blue Jays are so excited to know that they can make a difference in another child’s life, and help to better our school. Making these projects was a way in which they could give back to the school and to future VPC students.  These projects, the Friendship Platters and the Kindness Quilts, derived from our Martin Luther King lesson, preceded by our “Kindness and Love” lessons.

In this platter each one of the Blue Jays drew their own figure, holding hands with two other friends on both sides. The center of the platter quotes the song the children sing daily before snack time while holding hands: “Reach out and touch somebody’s hand”. The children put a lot of thought and attention into these drawings.

We are extremely proud of all their hard work and the final products!
