The Green Budgies and the Green Mallards created this wonderful decoupage vase, for our school auction.

The children learned about rainbows, and how we can see them when the sun shines through raindrops in the air.  We learned that there are warm and cool colors, and recalled that the warm colors reminded us of warm things like the desert and that the cool colors reminded us of cool things like the water. Because we were in the midst of our water theme, we decided that it would be cool (pun intended!) to decorate our vase with the cool colors.

The Green Budgies and Green Mallards worked together to decorate this vase, gluing green, blue, and purple tissue paper to it. Each child from both classes had a turn to find a perfect spot for a piece of tissue paper on the vase. They each enjoyed spreading the glue on the vase, picking out pieces of tissue paper, and placing them smoothly on top of the glue. 

 The Green Budgies and Green Mallards are proud of their work - and we are too! The beauty of any flower arrangement will look extra-cool in our cool-colored vase.
