IQ Assessment by Dr. Steven Alter. Steven Alter, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who has been in practice for over twenty years, specializing in child treatment and evaluation. Dr. Alter teaches psychological testing and diagnosis at the Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University where he received his doctorate. He is also an advanced post-doctoral candidate in neuropsychology at the Fielding Graduate University Dr. Alter received an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
