Most Pilates-based exercises are low-impact in nature and are easy on the  joints. As such, many exercises are appropriate for use in rehabilitation settings.

The Core of the Body - abdomen, lower back, and buttocks - is supported and strengthened, enabling the rest of the body to move freely.

In order to train the cardiovascular system at an optimal intensity level, a Pilate-based exercise program should be used in conjunction with a separate cardiovascular training program 

Hellerwork Bodywork is a series of one-hour sessions of deep tissue bodywork and movement education designed to realign the body and release chronic tension and stress. (Verbal dialogue is used to assist the client in becoming aware of emotional stress that may be related to physical tension.)
