Description
These beautiful totem poles capture the creativity and personality of campbell hall's fabulous third grade classes. the third graders learned that native americans depicted their experiences and themselves in buffalo skin drawings and totem pole carvings. in keeping with these traditions, the students chose animals which they felt best embodied their spirits. each student described his connection with his selected animal on a "buffalo skin" and created a "wooden" depiction of it for the class totem poles. together, the students' writing and artwork create gorgeous 3-dimensional representations of who the third graders are individually and as a group.
