".... Hope is a painting from the series called Graffiti; this series is inspired by the Writing culture, urban but with positive words that it is not about tagging or promotion, but, about having words and phrases with real meaning.


When I learned about the LearningSpring Benefit, It just became clear to me that HOPE was the proper thing to give. We have a saying in Spanish that says 'La Esperanza es lo último que se pierde.' A literal translation would be 'Hope is the last thing you lose.' Also, Hope is one of the words that I use the most and it is the meaning of my name - Nadia...."


Nadia M Martinez was born in Honduras, Central America, where she began her studies in Architecture. In 2000, she moved to New York, where her newfound her passion for fine arts led her to the National Academy of Fine Arts. There, she studied Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, video and Sculpture. Nadia has been awarded with several scholarships including The Albert Hallgarten Traveling Scholarship.


Her work has been exhibited in museums and galleries nationwide, as well as in Mexico and is found in selected collections such as the Art Bank Program of the US Department of State in Washington D. C,  Lecoq Cuisine Corp, Bridgeport, CT, and other private collections in the United States.  Nadia currently lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
