Balloon Ride for 1 person. Includes champagne brunch and digital photos.

Tucson, Arizona offers the best all-around hot air balloon flights available in the U.S.A. from September through May.  Tucson Hot Air Balloon Rides follow a unique balloon flight path over the Sonoran Desert, Tucson Mountains, Saguaro National Park West, and the agricultural expanse of Avra Valley is unmatched in its scenic beauty and outstanding hot air balloon flight conditions.  Click here to see photos of the views you will see on your flight with us.

Tucson Hot Air Balloon Rides offers 'Sonoran Sunrise'  flights followed by a delicious champagne brunch.  These hot air balloon flights are over an hour long, sometimes much longer, depending on a combination of factors including wind conditions and landing areas.  We will travel 10 to 15 miles at altitudes typically between 500 ft and 4000 ft above the Tucson area.  We fly seven days a week during the Tucson ballooning season.

The hot air balloon flight includes:

  • Mountain & desert panoramas

  • Post flight champagne brunch

  • Pictures of your flight, taken from our chase vehicles as they follow our adventure

What to Expect

Our hot air balloon rides in Tucson begin 45 minutes before the sun rises.  When you arrive at the launch site, the crew will lay the balloon out for cold inflation.  Once Kevin has stood the balloon up, you will be invited on board for your pre-flight briefing and the adventure of a lifetime!   You'll ascend into the air and find the thrill of take-off replaced by the peacefulness of floating at the speed of the wind.  Many people are surprised to find that there is no sense of motion or swaying in a balloon, since you are moving with the wind.  Even people who profess a fear of heights find ballooning to be a peaceful experience. (For more, see our Afraid of Heights page).

Kevin will point out any interesting landmarks and wildlife such as rabbits, deer, fox and coyotes that you may have the pleasure of spying from above.  The crew will capture your flight on camera and provide you with your own picture files before you leave.  Once you have landed, you'll be regaled with the history of the post-flight champagne toast as you enjoy a delicious brunch with mimosas.

What to Wear

Wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting dusty - jeans and sneakers are a great choice. Open toed shoes and high heels are not allowed.  Long hair should be tied back or worn under a hat.  Be sure to dress for early morning temperatures and "layer" so you can stay comfortable as the day warms up. Hats and sunglasses are recommended.

How many people

We have a four passenger balloon and an eight passenger balloon. Depending on how many people we have booked for a certain day (and their total weight) you will ride in one of these two balloons..  Exclusive private flights are available for an additional fee.

How much time to allow

The whole adventure will take approximately 3.5 hours.
