Description

Keep warm with this beautiful wool blanket from heritage brand, Pendleton Woolen Mills.

About this blanket: "Artist Lillian Pitt is one of the indigenous people of the Northwest’s Columbia River Gorge. It is from the ancient images and pictographs recovered from the now-flooded gorge walls that she often draws inspiration for her acclaimed masks and sculptures. Her work is rooted in tradition, such as this tale of how Coyote tricked the Huckleberry Sisters into helping him steal fire for the animal people. Woven in our Northwest mill, it is robe size (a bit smaller than twin), preferred by Native Americans for ceremonial purposes and for wrapping about oneself. It is impressive as wall a hanging or draped on a sofa or bed. Accompanied by a story card. 82% pure virgin wool/18% cotton. Dry clean. Made in the USA. 64" x 80""
