The glass work of Floating World Projects is an ongoing artistic collaboration between four visual artists in Istanbul, Turkey and three artists in New York.  The Floating World Projects goal is to create visual dialogue about the similarities and differences between our respective cities and cultures. This visual dialogue was created by photographing the city of Istanbul and translating that imagery onto a series of glass panels with screen-printing, photo emulsion and etching techniques. In Floating World Projects artists illustrate their perspectives of both Istanbul and New York and question the socially constructed perspectives that currently exist.
