Matt Theado is a professor of English at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina.  He is the author of "Understanding Jack Kerouac" and "The Beats:  A Literary Reference."  His knowledge and understanding of Kerouac are stunning.  The Beat Museum regularly uses his books as source material when creating exhibits.
