URBAN OYSTER BREWED IN BROOKLYN TOUR

Toast your way through the past and present of beer brewing in Brooklyn! Once home to 48 breweries, this ancient and tasty trade disappeared from the borough in the 1970s, only to be reborn in recent years with craft breweries leading the way. On this tour, you'll take a behind-the-scenes look at how beer is made at one of Brooklyn's three present-day breweries, explore the pre-Prohibition era as you check out 19th century brewery buildings and share stories of the German immigrants who worked and lived in the neighborhood in those days, and, of course, have plenty of craft beer and food along the way.

Plus, ten additional free beer tokens at Brooklyn Brewery make this beer lover's package complete.

Tour Highlights:

  • If you take the tour on the weekend, receive a private tour of the Brooklyn Brewery, or Greenpoint Beerworks on weekdays, plus a taste of their beers.

  • A look at two remaining 19th century brewery buildings that were once part of the old Brewers Row.

  • Pizza and lager beer - mmm....

  • Stories of brewing, bottling, and even bootlegging.

  • A stop by ABC Beverage Distributors to learn about how beer gets to customers today versus in the past.

  • Tastings of traditional German beer and Brooklynbeer with gourmet small plates at Huckleberry Bar.
