Here is an original art piece by the South African artist Sithembele Mgadi.  His pieces are part painting and part sculpture, with buildings protruding from the surface, and is made with recycled materials.  While the buildings represent the shack homes and business from Magdi's poverty-ridden youth, his festively colored pieces exude a joy that belies their origin.  Piece is signed and dated, approximately 8 1/2" high and 10" wide.
