The item is an original rendition of "Sandy" the yellow Labrador retriever. It is made of copper foil on stained glass, and is about 18 inches tall by 24 inches wide.

The item was hand-made by the donor, who has been doing stained glass, primarily animals, for many years.  He won the Evelyn Monte award at the Dog Fanciers' Club' Sixth Contest in 1993 for his whimsical bulldog "Waiting".  Pieces have been donated to the Morris Hills Dog Training Club as show awards.
