Description

The Lost Art Sewing School in San Anselmo is offering a fabulous 3 hour-sewing party for 6 girls ages 8 -18 from beginner to advance.  Each student works at their own pace so there is no  pressure to keep up with others in the class. The girls will learn basic sewing skills including how to use a sewing machine, measure and cut fabric using patterns and more.

There are 6 complete sewing stations equipped with user-friendly sewing machines and all the tools you will need.  All sewing is done in class and all fabric and supplies are included.  The girls will have a choice of making one of the following:  apron, tank-top shirt, draw-string bag, or halter dress.  Each girl will experience a sense of accomplishment with their completed project and gain knowledge in color, textiles, construction techniques, and creative embellishment.

Candice Roper, originally from South Africa, lives in San Anselmo and is the owner of the Tot School and Lost Art of Sewing School.  She attended the San Francisco Art Institute in Fashion Design and developed her passion for sewing and clothing design from her grandmother, aunts and mother.  Candice has been teaching sewing classes for the past three years.
