The Briarcrest Vineyard is the smallest and oldest of the designated vineyards of Clos du Bois.  Located in the southern end of the Alexander Valley.  Briarcrest is renowned for the quality of Cabernet Sauvignon fruit it produces.  Heavy clay soils and the maturity of the vines contribute to sparse canopy production and light crops of small, intensely flavored berries.  This wine is wonderfully balanced with the elegance and approachability that is typical of the best wines from Alexander Valley.
