The restaurant has received accolades for its contemporary cuisine including an "Excellent" rating from the New York Times M.H. Reed, a four-and-one-half star review from the Reporter Dispatch's Gerry Dawes, and has also received an "A" from Judith Hausman in the Journal News. The 2006 Zagat Survey has described the Iron Horse as "consummately professional" with "inspired" cuisine.
