John Dawson is a gifted figurative artist who specializes in works of fine art which are personal, perceptive, and psychological in nature. He has exhibited from coast to coast, having had one man exhibitions in both New York and San Francisco, as well as numerous exhibitions in between.  Graduating from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in 1969, and Arizona State University with a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1974, he has worked as a professional artist for more than thirty years.  He has had more than sixty One Man Exhibitions including the Segal Gallery, New York City; Robinson Gallery, Houston, Texas; Elaine Horwitch Galleries, Santa Fe and Scottsdale as well as many others.

He is currently represented in galleries in Arizona, California, Maryland, and Oklahoma.
