Nelson and Joanna Cognac are the owners, participating both in kitchen and dining room responsibilities. Nelson has numerous years of culinary experience; most recently he was executive chef at the Harvest. He is classically trained in French and Mediterranean cuisine that he blends with the Greek heritage of his wife. The restaurant is casual, painted in vibrant colors with a few interesting design elements such as in the fan and lighting fixtures, but with no fussiness about the décor. The wine list features many bottles to choose from under $40 and matches the food well. Kouzina typifies the neighborhood restaurant offering delicious food for a reasonable price. Kouzina is open Tuesday through Saturday serving lunch 11:30 to 2:30. Dinner is served Tuesday through Thursday 5-9 and Friday and Saturday 5-10. All major credit cards are accepted.
