An original oil painting by Michael A. Sarisky.  The painting excluding the frame is 23.5 inches by 17.5 inches.  The current frame adds four inches to the dimensions.  The original frame, which is also available, adds eight inches.

Michael Sarisky was born in Austria-Hungary and came to the USA as a child.  He was on the faculty of the Western Reserve University from 1930 to 1935, and has taught at the Cleveland Institute of Art.  He has received the Charles Lee Prize for two consecutive years at Philadelphia, and has over 30 years of awards at the annual May Shows of the Cleveland Museum of Art.  The museum has also purchased his paintings for its permanent collection.
