Private Tasting for Four from Pasanella and Son, Vintners

Item Number: 272
Time Left: CLOSED

Description
Private tasting for four in our Enoteca.
Built in 1839 for a shipchandlers Slate, Gardiner and
Howell, in 1882, it was converted to a bar with rooming
house above (read: brothel). After that, girls were
replaced with fish, with 70,000 pounds of it - a jet's
worth - in three freezers at any one time.
Now we stock over 400 wines, ranging from small, family
-run vineyards to the most well-respected and sought
after wine makers and also including a wide selection of
bottles under $15. Every bottle in the store has been
hand-selected.
We also offer an equally well-considered array of wine
-related accessories, from super-sturdy titanium crystal
glasses to antique French corkscrews - all selected by
Rebecca Robertson Pasanella, Senior Home Editor at
Martha Stewart.
Our tasting room, with 13-foot ceilings, exposed beams
and bluestone floor, opens up to a private garden,
creating a warm and comfortable ambience--like being
in the wine cellar of your Piedmontese grandfather.
We regularly bring together wine lovers and wine makers
for tastings and discussions, seminars and special events
(see Events).
The enoteca is available for corporate tastings for 10 to
300 guests. Custom tastings are led by our wine experts
and/or winemakers with a selected theme and wines
from our store.
The enoteca can also be rented for other private tasting events.
Our staff will help customize the event and coordinate the
details of the wine, accompaniments and decor.
