When the artist saw the bench she knew, as a forester, that some of the lovely oak would have to be left exposed, and the panels seemed like the perfect spots to portray a series of views of the lupine fields in northern New Hampshire. Though the work was done with acrylic craft paint, the style is reminiscent of her watercolors ~ modified to a slightly more primitive style reminiscent of early painted furniture. The storage bench is finely crafted from solid oak. The dimensions are approximately 20”H x 47”W x 18”D.
