Ms. Parker, who recorded “My Imaginary Guy” with the Valadores in 1962 and a few other singles, was Stax Records' first Director of Publicity. During her tenure at Stax, Parker became a driving force in the record industry, with her songs being recorded by the likes of Ann Peebles, Otis Redding, Albert King, and others. As a Stax Records original staff member, Ms. Parker will share some of her favorite memories and stories with you and give you a rare glimpse into the Stax archives.
