What is plarn? It's yarn made out of those plastic bags that seem to multiply when you're not looking. In this 2-hour class, you'll learn how to make and crochet with plarn, and learn how to convert ordinary plastic grocery bags into yarn that can be used to make beach bags, bowls, rugs, seat covers and more. We'll learn or review basic crochet stitches and begin one of these projects. Taught by Hunter Alum Barbara Van Elsen; Barbara has won international awards for her work and conducts crochet and knitting workshops all over the world
