Description

Mens Rossignol Zenith Z5 All Mountain Skis, NEVER USED

Value = $899 Retail

Minimum = $350

Expert skiers will enjoy its quickness, versatility and stability.

The Z5 is a advanced to expert cruiser that is extremely forgiving, stable at speed and retains excellent grip on hard, icy snow.

With 74mm underfoot they are easy to balance on even on quite rough snow, but they are aimed at piste skiers who like doing medium sized turns at less than race speed. Very much the Coupe's of the Rossi range, they are great for skiers looking for no compromise comfort and a smooth, mildly sporty ride.

Ski Magazine gave the Zenith Z5 Oversize high marks and a gold medal in their 2006 Buyer's Guide.. Carbon Structure Twin VAS 80, Dualtec Integral,VAS + Metal Insert The retail price of the ski alone was $950 and the binding over $180.00

Ski Magazine has this to say about the Z5:

"The Z5 shares the shape and, largely, construction of the Z9. Rossignol replaces the metal of the Z9 with carbon-fiber reinforcement. Gone is some of the Z9’s quiet and power, but the Z5 brings its own strengths—namely, a livelier feel and greater overall comfort—and it shares the Z9’s go-anywhere versatility. The 5’s best attribute is its can’t-miss carvability. An Aspiring Expert will love the ease with which it hooks up at the start and then finishes every turn, never running away down the hill. It’s a sensible choice, especially for relaxed Western Cruisers content to link automatic medium-radius turns, but there’s versatility in there, too. "Great ski for mixing up turn shapes, seeking fall lines and using the whole hill," said Morgan. Con Indifferent hard-snow grip; can be overpowered."
