Boardwalk Empire is an HBO series set in Atlantic City during the Prohibition Era and starring Steve Buscemi.  The first episode was directed by Martin Scorsese and was the most expensive pilot episode produced in television history.  Boardwalk Empire has received widespread critical acclaim.  In 2010, it won a Golden Globe for Best Dramatic Series, and Steve Buscemi won a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Dramatic Series.
