This magnificent rose garden is only in bloom a few weeks out of the year.  In 1996, the McCarthy's accurately restored the rose garden on their property after the garden designed by Louise du Pont-Crowninshield in the 1930s on their property ~ even consulting one of the original Crowninshield gardeners on the varieties of roses in each area.
