Your child will spend the day at the Cape Animal Referral and Emergency Center (CARE) of South Dennis learning first-hand about Veterinary Rehabilitation. CARE is the only referral and emergency veterinary hospital on Cape Cod. Certified Veterinary Technician and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, Nancy Bishop, invites your child into her working rehabilitation area where your child will assist with a variety of treatment services. If your child loves animals, she or he will love this day! And this unique space already comes with at least two very special, very friendly Golden Retriever girls, Chillin and Breezon. Imagine being able to help rehabilitate a dog who has muscle spasms, an injured leg, spinal cord trauma or who has had surgery. Your child can help to speed recovery time, improve function or restore performance. This special opportunity will finish with a behind the scenes tour of the animal hospital and a delicious bagged lunch prepared for your child and enjoyed with Nancy and your child's new best friends, the "golden girls."
