Aroma: red fruit, intense with hints of berry fruit

From Sangiovese 90% and Cabernet Sauvignon 10%, fermentation at controlled temperature in stainless steel for 15 days with a slow maceration, daily pumping over and breathings that allow a major extraction of tannins, phenolics and anthocyanins. 

Robert Parker gave this wine 90 points and said "The single-vineyard 2007 Chianti Colli Fiorentini Riserva Vigna La Quercia is open and expressive in its vibrant dark fruit, grilled herbs and spices, all of which come together nicely on a soft, accessible frame...Anticipated maturity: 2010-2017."
