Cradled in the scenic Kempton valley just 7 miles from Hawk Mountain, lies a hidden treasure...the Hawk Mountain Bed & Breakfast. This quaint but contemporary lodge combines the finest European bed and breakfast tradition with American comfort. Built by the owners, Jim and Judy Gaffney in 1988, the B&B has eight units, each with private bath, full climate controls and views overlooking the foothills of the Kittatinny Ridge.
During the day, hike the trails or relax on a North Lookout rock boulder in search of raptors at Hawk Mountain Sanctuary using your new Hawk Mountain Family Membership.
In the evening: Grab a bite to eat at the McKeansburg Hotel. Enjoy a bottle of red wine from Long Trout Winery or white wine from Galen Glen Winery. Read from the Hawk Mountain coffee table book. Or, enjoy two 30-minute massages (or one 1-hour massage) from a local masseuse.....what better way to unwind from a day of birdwatching!
Special Instructions
Hawk Mountain Bed & Breakfast: A full country breakfast is included. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 9:30 am in the Commons Room. Signature dish is whole wheat pancakes or waffles, served with country sausage, fresh fruit, selection of teas and house blend coffee. Each room is uniquely furnished in a comfortable, eclectic style in the mode of post-Victorian Pennsylvania. Two deluxe units feature Jacuzzi whirlpool bathtubs and private fireplaces. Additional facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a cabana area, and large gardens. Open year-round.
