Pele Bauch’s focus as a dance dramaturge is to help movement artists achieve their vision. She supports individual processes by providing detailed feedback, analysis, and discussion.  Her approach maintains the choreographer's authorship and honors their individual voice.

Pele Bauch has been delighted to support artists’ creative processes for six years.  As Associate Director at The Field she has been facilitating residencies such as Artward Bound and the Emerging Artist Residency program; she has guided many Fieldwork feedback workshops.  Also a choreographer, Pele has experienced both criticism and praise that were either productive or lacking information and therefore not useable.  This perspective and her respect for other artists’ intentions is what guides her as a dance dramaturge.
