Select a name for a red panda born at the National Zoo’s Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute's headquarters in Front Royal, Virginia.  Animal care staff will work with you to select a suitable name, preferably taken from the language of the animal’s region of origin.  Red pandas are native to Nepal, northeastern India, Bhutan, and parts of China.  The winner of this naming opportunity may also submit a name of his/her choice, which must be approved by the Zoo Director.
