Frankoma Pottery "Mary the Mother" distributed in 1982 from the "Teenagers of the Bible".

Designed by Joniece Frank, this plate portrays the Mary, mother, holding her baby, Jesus. 

Frankoma Pottery began in 1933. Using the terra cotta clay from their own Sugar Loaf Clay Mine, they handcraft and hand trim each piece before it goes through the kiln. The piece is then individually glazed with a Frankoma color glaze. Most pieces are then brushed off in some areas to allow the beauty of the terra cotta color to show through.
