"Cole" Hamels is a left-handed starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies.
Hamels was selected to the National League All Star team in 2007 and was named Phillies Pitcher of the Year in 2007 and 2008. In 2008, Hamels was named Most Valuable Player of the 2008 World Series and National League Championship Series after posting a 4–0 record in the playoffs.
In 2010, Hamels set career bests in ERA (3.06) and SO and tied his career high in starts (33). He finished 6th in the NL in SO (211) and 7th in SO/9.0 IP (9.10) and SO/BB ratio (3.46).
