Hundreds of prayers are written on paper scroll inside each of these prayer wheels as well as written on the outside. This set of prayer wheels is a smaller version of the prayer wheels seen at Buddhist temples and other sacred places in Nepal. When spun, Buddhists believe it has the same effect as a prayer being orally related. Prayer wheels are also used to accumulate wisdom and merit and to purify negativities.
