Description
This is an original Staunton Chess Set. Each piece was hand carved and bears the Red Crown Jaques insignias on the white horse, white rook and white king. This set is autographed by Howard Staunton, John Jaques and C. Jaques. Only 100 of these sets were ever made. This set also comes with an equally impressive hand-crafted chess board.

Special Instructions
It is still unclear who came up with the original chess piece designs, Jaques or his brother Nathaniel Cook, but the design has become the most recognizable and the official design for competition.
