One of Spain’s most talented landscape artists, Dutch Farrant was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1937. Possessing an innate ability with realism and a unique artistic voice, he studied in the Llotxa School of Art in Barcelona. Today he lives and works in Barcelona.

At 16, Farrant was already a professional comic artist for the Barcelona local paper. He also worked as a professional illustrator in France, Great Britain, Spain, Canada and the United States.

A child prodigy, Farrant produced his first painting at age eight. Farrant has been producing fine art paintings ever since. His favorite subjects are landscapes, gardens and seascapes. With a delicate palette, his brush strokes seem to caress the subjects painted. One can almost feel the air and the life in his works.
