Mark Swiecki, a photographer from Vancouver Island, is a member of the Canadian Association of Photographic Art (CAPA) ,the Nanaimo Arts Council and past member of the Harbour City Photography Club in Nanaimo, British Columbia. His photographic work has won local, regional and national awards. His images have appeared in magazines, postcards and bookcovers.
His fine art photography includes: landscape photography, portraits, travel photography, abstract photography, still life, tropical and endangered birds and introspective shots. Nikon bodies and lenses are his favorite equipment in the field.
The Blue Gold Macaw image shows the brightly coloured feathers of the head in a macro shot. Up to 1/3 of all parrots are endangered in the wild due to poaching, deforestation and the illegal pet trade. Peacocks have always fascinated me with the shapes and colours of the tail feathers. This was shot against a white background to contrast with the feathers and make them stand out.

Mark Swiecki generously donated two photographs. The pieces are being sold separately however would compliment each other in any room.

SHIPPING PROCEDURE: All packing, shipping and insurance costs are the buyers responsibility not the sellers. The seller will bring each item to UPS at an agreed upon time with the buyer. UPS will professionally pack, ship and insure each item against breakage. Via cell phone the buyer will give UPS their credit card information directly. Local buyers may pick up their items directly.
