Description
Here's something for anyone with a sense of humor! Some Sunday when that colorful insert in the Sunday paper just isn't sufficient to keep the kids entertained, hop on BART to spend a few hours chuckling at San Francisco's Cartoon Art Museum. It's the only museum in the western United States dedicated to the preservation and exhibition of cartoon art in all its forms, so there's something for everyone. You'll find more than 6,000 pieces of original cartoon and animation art, including editorial cartoons, comic books, graphic novels, anime, Sunday funnies, and Saturday morning cartoons. Current special exhibits include From Bloom County to Mars: The Imagination of Berkeley Breathed; Drawn From The Economist: The Editorial Art of KAL; and Overture: Looney Tunes Behind the Scenes. We bet you can't escape without major pangs of nostalgia and ribs that ache! Check out their website at http://cartoonart.org/.
