One class (grades 4-8) will enjoy a myth-filled Friday night in the kiva, themed around their choice of the following movies:

• Hercules (Disney): First Hera will challenge students to complete several labors. If they succeed, they will feast in the Hall of Heracles, while watching a modern retelling of the tale of Hercules. Hercules, himself, may honor the gathering with his presence.


• The Lightning Thief: Upon their arrival at Camp Half Blood, students will consult the oracle as to their lineage. Once their destinies have been foretold, they will be schooled in the arts of the hero, then served a great feast and a great tale.


• O Brother, Where Art Thou: (grade 7 or 8 with parental permission only) The Old South meets Ancient Greece for an evening of delicious food, great music, and epic stories, complete with trivia, games, and prizes. Students will dine in the hall of Odysseus as they watch a modern retelling of The Odyssey.
