Signed Sol LeWitt Silkscreen - Created for 1992 Ferraro Senate Campaign
    Item Number: 513
Time Left: CLOSED
      Description
A study in minimalism, this work by world-renowned artist Sol LeWitt reduces color and line to its simplest form, abstractly suggesting the image of an American flag. One of a series of Minimalist/Conceptual works Le Witt created in the 1980s and early 1990s using this particular imagery, the print has historical significance in that it was conceived for use in Geraldine Ferraro’s 1992 US Senate campaign. The artist’s contribution to printmaking has been considerable, and this untitled print represents one of his finest compositions. The four-color silkscreen is #57 of a relatively small edition of only 125. The image measures 16 ¼ x 42 3/4 inches and is nicely framed.
