In a previous project, each sixth grader developed a self portrait from a photograph, using a grid to enlarge and draw each square of the image. For this piece, the students worked as a class, using the same process to recreate a photograph of Belmont Day School. Each student used colored pencils to draw the contents of one or more squares, which were assembled to form a picture of the school in springtime.
