This auction is for one bottle each of 2006 Deloach Russian River Valley Merlot, 2007 Beringer Founders' Estate California Merlot, and 2006 Shiloh Road Napa Valley Merlot. Deloach knows its way around a merlot. Winery notes: "This merlot has a true varietal voice with aromas of blackberry fruit leather, dusky black cherry and cedar box. Immediate flavors of sarsaparilla and cassis are framed by a kiss of oak developing into sophisticated layers of baker's chocolate and black truffles."   Beringer blends its "Founders' Estate" merlot from vineyards on the Central Coast and North Coast. It's described as: "Bright red fruit and vanilla/spice aromas, and black cherry and sweet black plum flavors."  The Shiloh Road is familiar to any BevMo fans. One review: "This is the wine you open when you want to please everyone and serve a red. The flavors are well balanced and not tannic at all. There is no bite, a smooth finish and flavors of light berries, a little vanilla and some light cocoa. It's a very nice, very simple, very pleasant wine."
