Americana Week in New York City in an experience not to be missed. Collectors from around the world descend upon the City to attend the auctions at Sotheby’s and Christie’s, tour the Winter Antique Show, Antiques at the Armory, The American Antiques Show and the Americana & Antique Show at the Pier, and attend various lectures and festive galas. This all takes place during the third week in January, concentrating on the weekend of January 20th to 23rd, 2012. Two lucky couples will enjoy an insider’s view. Geraldine Nager Griffin, Senior Vice President of Sotheby’s, will give you a behind the scenes tour of the auction house and a look at the current exhibitions, including tips on how to bid and what to look for in an auction. Roberto Freitas, who specializes in 18th & 19th Century American Furniture and exhibits at the American Antiques Show. After you attend the Winter Antique Show, lunch and overnight accommodations will be provided just around the corner at the private Cosmopolitan Club. 


The Cosmopolitan Club is a full-service private club located at 122 East 66th Street, between Park and Lexington Avenues. It is a 10-story prewar Clubhouse that joins elegant club rooms together with gracious terraces and beautiful gardens. It is one of the few clubs in New York City that offers a variety of rooms with outdoor spaces There are 24 private guest rooms, tucked away on three floors of their gracious Clubhouse, offering charm and serenity.
