Welcome to Comina, the world next door.  Our stores tell a story of dedication to contemporary, high end furnishings from around the globe.  Each of our Comina stores offer you beautiful home decor, awash in brilliant color and style.  It's our passion to find you small, interesting suppliers all over the world.  From mohair blankets hand knit in South Africa, to dining tables made from native Indian rosewood, we offer you true originality, distinct in taste, with excellent quality.

The year was 1985 when our founder, Jacomina Nicholas, went on her first buying trip to Mexico.  She brought home hand-made, painted animals, Zapotec rugs, and black ceramic pots from the villages surrounding Oaxaca.  Soon after, Comina was born.  Word spread quickly: Jacomina had an uncanny sense of color and style.  Born in Netherlands, she lived throughout Europe and Latin America and shaped the Comina aesthetic we are famous for today: a fresh mix of hand-made wares, stunning antiques, and sharp modern shapes.

From the start, we have been a family-run company.  Jacomina's son, Jos, has watched over the stores for the last 15 years.  We are very proud of our customized personal service.  We go to great lengths to provide you with the friendly support you need when furnishing your home.
