This painting exhibits a rich painterly surface enhanced by masterful brushwork.  It will be on display starting the week of June 8th at Devon Antiques Gallery, 72 Water Street, Stonington Borough, CT   Tel. 860-535-4452.  Call for hours. Magadini’s style could be called Contemporary Impressionism although the pastoral quality of his work recalls the naturalism of 19th Century American Landscape Painting. A former illustrator, Chris’s credits include several illustrated books, covers for Reader’s Digest books and magazines, covers for Guideposts, Field and Stream,  Boating, Audubon, Scholastic, stamps for the United Nations and Collectors plates for Royal Copenhagen USA.  Chris lives in Croton-on Hudson and first started painting in the Stonington area two years ago.  Go to his website - www.Chrismagadini.com  for more biographical information and to view  more of his paintings.
