Description

Some of you may recognize the gal pictured here dreaming contentedly with humpback whales. She's one amazing lady, a past staff member at camp, and an increadibly talented singer/songwriter!

This intaglio print was hand etched, coated with rosin and dipped in various acid baths to get various shades of blacks, whites and greys. Then I pulled the plate through a printing press onto Stonehenge paper. The detail of the plate is achieved with a tiny etching tool, much like a metal toothpick. The process is long, but results in beautiful imagery.

The plate is roughly 8 x 8 inches (image size). It comes on a piece of paper with a few inches border around the image.

Each print is editioned, signed and titled by the artist (me!)

This print is unmatted and unframed, it will be shipped with hard board to protect it.

Special Instructions

"Though I grew up in WA, I didn't discovered Nor'wester until 2010. Working in the craft shop, I met more soul-mates than I ever believed possible, and saw first-hand how camp can transform kids into more confident, conscientious citizens of planet Earth. While I'm currently trying to get hired as an RN (...job offers? anyone??), I'll always consider my time at Nor'wester to be the best summers of my life."

So, for those of you who do not know, Olivia is a gift to Camp Nor'wester and she is a remarkably talented person.  If you have been to camp recently, you may have seen her mural in the kitchen, but be sure to visit her website for more:
