Enjoy some of what I put by from my garden this summer.

This basket contains

• One quart tomato pasta sauce with tomatoes and herbs from my garden, made from the recipe in Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.


• One quart spicy dill pickles. Cukes, dill, peppers and coriander from my garden.


• One pint tomatillo salsa. Tomatillos, peppers, cilantro and onion from my garden.


• One pint grape jelly. Grapes grown without pesticides in a friend's yard.


• Half pint green tomato relish, slightly sweet -- taste and texture just like pickle relish. Tomatoes and peppers from my garden, and my own pickling spices.

I always use safe canning methods.
